Grow ARC’s order-based reporting and settlement revenue and play a leading role in shaping the long-term strategy and vision for ARC’s reporting and settlement services. Lead the overall strategy definition for ARC’s Orders-based reporting and settlement capabilities, identify and evaluate new opportunities for investment, and partner with key business stakeholders to drive the growth of ARC’s Orders-based products and services. Work cross-functionally to prioritize enhancements and develop new Order-focused services to enhance the customer experience and drive increased value. Lead and direct the work of a cross-functional team responsible for understanding airlines’ Order strategies, engage partners to understand and support their readiness, and bring intelligence back into the organization to inform strategy. Use intel to identify product and service opportunities that optimize customer value and establish ARC as a leading provider of innovative and trusted airline retailing solutions. Foster close connections with, and garner the trust of, customers, industry stakeholders, and other strategic partners to ensure ARC can engage customers on strategic direction and functional business needs and be viewed as a thought leader on Orders and other travel distribution topics.

 

What You'll Get to Do:

  1. Set the vision and strategy for ARC’s order-based reporting and settlement capabilities and collaborate with the Managing Director, Airline Retailing & Settlement to ensure alignment with ARC’s overarching omnichannel vision and strategy. Understand how competitive strategies and tactics work in the market and develop strategies that reflect the collective needs of the industry.
  2. Engage with customers and other industry stakeholders to gain and maintain an expert understanding of the strategic and functional needs related to airlines’ Orders strategies and market adoption. Understand how Orders data is used by customers and collaborate internally to identify new opportunities for ARC to leverage Orders-data to solve customer problems. Continuously gather and share customer and market intelligence with internal stakeholders and collaborate with others on the delivery of customer validated, forward looking functional product roadmaps. Possess the skills necessary to forecast changes in the market and develop effective, timely responses.
  3. Act as a trusted advisor and preeminent thought leader in airline retailing and, in particular, the industry’s transition from e-tickets to Orders. Demonstrate expertise in related market opportunities, customer needs, and competitive actions to define differentiated products and services that will grow ARC’s revenue and enable airlines to successfully execute their retailing strategies. Proactively advocate for the adoption of ARC’s vision, products, and services with customers and other industry stakeholders. Utilize industry knowledge to educate colleagues and industry partners on ARC’s capabilities and the value of ARC’s airline retailing product and services portfolio.
  4. Collaborate internally to define, implement, and continuously improve an efficient customer onboarding strategy, ensuring smooth integration and adoption of ARC’s Orders-based technology and processes by airline, agencies, and technology providers.
  5. Lead a team responsible for advancing ARC’s Orders strategy. Set direction and priorities for team members. Continually develop team and ensure alignment with corporate/divisional/departmental goals and objectives. Cultivate an environment where diverse opinions are shared and respected, especially when different from those of senior leaders. Ensure ARC’s leaders and other internal stakeholders understand ARC’s Orders strategy and can effectively incorporate that understanding into their work, strategies, and roadmaps.
  6. Partner internally to ensure a unified plan, prioritization, and execution of new Orders-focused product and service offerings.
  7. Travel domestically and internationally to represent ARC at industry meetings and events. Set and manage the budget supporting ARC’s Orders- focused industry activities.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field preferred. Advanced certifications or education in product management, airline distribution, or digital transformation are a plus; equivalent work experience considered.
  • 10+ years of experience in the travel industry, with direct Distribution experience.
  • Excellent communication skills; Strong presentation skills to both internal and external stakeholders, including executive level management
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Proven track record of innovative problem solving and delivery of solutions that positively impact profitability and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to learn and articulate ARC’s strategy and ensure initiatives align accordingly
  • Strong business acumen, critical thinking, and analytical skills and can make decisions quickly
  • Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams and with all levels of management
