About The Role:

It's a great time to join us at Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC)! ARC accelerates the growth of global air travel by delivering forward-looking travel data, flexible distribution services and other innovative industry solutions. We are a leading travel intelligence company with the world’s largest, most comprehensive global airline ticket dataset, including more than 15 billion passenger flights. By working here, you can contribute to solutions and expertise that strengthen economies and enrich lives. We think big, embrace challenges and explore new ideas to lead the way for the travel industry.

ARC is looking for a Fraud Analyst to join our team! In this role, you will apply standard operating procedures (SOPs) to monitor daily transactions, ensuring ARC customers use ARC systems and tools in compliance with the Agent Reporting Agreement (ARA), Industry Agent Handbook (IAR), and Carrier Services Agreement (CSA). You will utilize ARC’s monitoring tools—including Form of Payment review, ARC Pay daily checks, and the Early Warning Tool—to identify high-risk transactions. You'll be expected to maintain expertise in card-not-present transaction acceptance rules, with a focus on merchant risk management and compliance. Additionally, you will oversee risk monitoring to detect payment fraud, merchant risk, manipulation, and other trends that could result in financial losses for ARC and its stakeholders. This role provides support and serves as a backup for team members across the department. You will develop and implement case-specific processes to: identify, analyze, and research financial, transactional, and statistical data. As well as conduct on-site or telephonic fact-finding interviews/audits to recommend actions that mitigate financial risk for ARC travel agents, airlines, and ARC’s merchant account. As a Fraud Analyst, you will collaborate with team members, sharing insights on fraud scenarios and emerging risks to enhance awareness and strengthen ARC’s settlement system security.

What You'll Get to Do:

  1. Review daily ticketing data using monitoring tools, including Form of Payment, Early Warning Tool, ARC Pay Daily Report, Memo Manager, IAR, Thomson Reuters CLEAR and other resources. Analyze transactions with applications such as TAMIS, Jasper, Memo Manager, DRS, and external databases to assess risk and take appropriate action per SOPs. Support Machine Learning advancements related to card-specific fraud detection.
  2. Create new risk review processes and maintain existing processes; incorporating the latest data to improve decision-making and fraud prevention.
  3. Serve as a backup to leadership and the Senior Risk Analyst, including testifying in criminal or civil trials as a "custodian of record" on behalf of ARC.
  4. Monitor real-time risk queues and analyze high-risk transactions across the business portfolio and take timely action to mitigate potential financial losses.
  5. Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Meet or exceed established SLAs for resolving queued cases to minimize revenue losses and ensure efficient risk management.
  6. Communicate and collaborate effectively by engaging with customers, banks, and suppliers via phone, email, and CRM systems. Execute standard SQL database queries to retrieve data and generate reports. Identify and escalate fraud/weight abnormalities, technical issues, and system bugs as needed.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Criminal Justice or related field.
  • 3-4 years of experience in fraud prevention experience in the travel or financial industries is preferred, with a background in customer service.
  • Flexible in responding to changing work requirements, with strong critical thinking and data-driven decision-making.
  • Proven ability to analyze and manipulate large transactional datasets to support auditing, statistical sampling and risk assessment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of industry transactional data with the ability to conduct thorough audits.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong planning, time management, and self-management abilities. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Salesforce (CRM), Tableau, SQL or similar Business Intelligence programs to develop and manage complex databases, retrieve data and product reports.
